The sky is still pitch black at 6am when SCORE photographer Peter
Wall and editor Elliot James arrive at the America West counter
at Miami International Airport. They're flying to Vegas to cover
Exotic Dancer Publications' 11th annual Gentlemen's Club
Owners Expo, now back at Caesars Palace after two years at Mandalay
Bay. They'll be looking for their English member of the boob brotherhood,
T, who'll be shooting digital pix again for this strippers
photo-report.
There are three days of the strippers trade show, the industry
seminars, and the nightly events and parties held at sponsoring
local nightclubs such as Deja Vu, Little Darlings, Jaguar and
Sapphires. E.D. prefers that only the professionals in the industry
attend this show, not the general public. That's partly why Fan
Fair at the end of the week was developed. Minka, Lovette,
Chelsea Charms, Devon Michaels, Corinna Curves,
Brittany Love. Maxi Mounds.
About 150 exhibitors fill the strippers trade show convention
area, including Budweiser, the Pure Gold Club Chain and the major
talent agencies. The Spearmint Rhino and Déjà Vu
chains have once again gone to considerable expense to build mini-clubs
with strippers, music and lighting effects. Alyssa Alps
arranged and managed many of the nightly dancer showcases and
special events, working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to ensure
that everything went successfully. Without her and her "Feature
Crew" (Devon Michaels, Nicole Tyler, Leslie
Wells, Tristan Blue), the week would not have run so
smoothly. What about the supersized crowd? It looks like the big
bra contingent is not nearly as sizable this year as it was in
the past. Many familiar chests are missing, sorry to say.
